Amsterdam will always have a special place in our hearts since it was our very first city in Europe...
On the flight over we scored business class seating & that is where the pampering began..
Prior to departure the flight attendant greeted us by name and gave us full menu filled with appetizers, entrees, desserts etc...
***The food was like we were at fine dining establishment with 5 courses including a pre-arrival meal***
Aside from the food - the seats were a super cool pod where you could recline and lay down, we were given a down-like pillow, plush blanket, our own TV with unlimited movies/games and a kit with a toothbrush, socks, eye mask etc...
Once we arrived to Amsterdam 9+ hours later we quickly realized how colorful it is...
***Literally check out that shade of green***

We then headed to our hotel...
Our hotel (The Movenpick) was very chic & modern on the water with an amazing view...
Once we checked in we were tired but couldn't sleep with so much to explore...
Our shuttle driver informed us that about 60% of transportation in Amsterdam was via bike so we figured we would embrace the experience and rented our own bikes to check out the city...
***The people were so friendly speaking Dutch and thank goodness English***
***The bikes were the old school style and we LOVED them - I want one of my very own in baby blue some day :)***
It seemed as though they had more bike paths than actual roads...
As we cruised along we then realized Amsterdam really isn't that big and we had ventured out of the city - thanks to my fabulous navigation skills...
However we found that there are a ton of canals & ended up playing a game to get to our next destination by counting how many canals/bridges we crossed until we would make our next turn...
Our game worked out and we were back on track & pedaled over to check out the Ann Frank Hais...

***There was a super long line so we looked in the window and carried on***
I guess I must be desensitized living in Vegas for so long because we pedaled right through red light district and only saw a window of a store selling lingerie - hmmm seemed pretty innocent to me?...
We had a BLAST &...

Love Amsterdam!
